The Ongoing Renewal of Easter

Easter Sunday, April 17 at 6:10am and at 10:00am

Most of the Christian world sees Easter as a single, central, momentous event. This magnificent story of Easter told in many accounts in the Bible has relevance and significance in our lives today. When we recognize the eternal indwelling life of God that persists and shows itself in all people, resurrection and renewal occurs. Rather than seeing Easter as an event taking place 2,000 years ago, we can recognize that Easter takes place, when our life path presents us with any opportunity to live anew. The example that Jesus gave us through resurrection occurs when we awaken to a greater clarity of God’s abundance. We can claim Jesus’ example of resurrection as our very own pathway to follow. Raising up to new life, and resurrection takes place within us through the example of Jesus at Easter.

Nature exemplifies renewal and the resurrection when new life becomes evident, and the days grow longer. When the rains fall, and new growth blooms all around us, renewal takes place. Emptiness blossoms into new life and into new possiblity. The cycle of transformation renews itself. This Easter Sunday, let’s examine how much the momentous event of Easter can mean to us today. Celebrate your renewal with us on the beach at Kalama Beach Park at dawn, 6:10am or at 10:00am in the Sanctuary at Unity Windward.
